Our story
Master Chef Myoung Hee Kim opened a Korean kitchen in Bangkok in 2010, believing that a bowl of food could carry a culture. Bibimbab gave the restaurant its name and shaped its approach to cooking.
The Bibimbab grew across Thailand. Hwaro followed with Korean griddle BBQ, and Hansang is now being prepared as the next brand.
Sixteen years later, we still judge every new dish by the same standard: it should taste like food from a Korean home.
A restaurant group founded to serve Korean food with a balance of flavour and nourishment.
Why The Bibimbab was founded
Supporting the stage since 2014
Since BTS's Red Bullet concert in 2014, the group has been an official sponsor or partner of more than 30 events in Thailand, including performances by IU and JISOO. Its partnerships also include Muangthong United football club.
Our kitchen standards
Three standards guide the cooking at every branch.
Rice, vegetables and other core ingredients are selected to the same standard for all 15 branches.
Every kitchen team receives hygiene and service training before serving customers. Each branch is checked against those standards.
All 15 branches are company-owned and buy ingredients together, helping us offer quality food at fair prices.
Chef Kim's Cooking Lab · Sukhumvit 31
The lab keeps the founder's recipes and develops and tests new dishes. It is also our delivery kitchen, preparing food to the same standard as our restaurants.
